Equality and Diversity
WERMO aims to provide a fair and open service, giving additional support, where necessary, to the vulnerable and disadvantaged.
To show our commitment to diversity and equality, we will:
collect up-to-date details about our customers. This will help us target the services more effectively. Any information held will be in the strictest confidence and only used to help improve the services
carry out yearly checks to see if any residents are experiencing problems accessing services or are receiving a poor standard of service. This will include surveys so that residents can let us know how satisfied they are with the services.
Provide opportunities for residents to get involved in developing and / or managing the services
Assess all new policies, schemes and service changes to make sure that they do not unfairly discriminate against any particular group of residents.
Who is responsible for diversity and equality?
All employees, Board members and other people doing work on behalf of WERMO have a general duty to work together to promote equality and fairness in the way customers are treated and through the services provided to the public.
Please contact us if you want to tell us about an equality issue, or if you would like to work with us in developing equality
