WERMO Board Compact with Residents
Forward
There have been many positive and significant changes on Waltham Estate since April 2003.
Both Lambeth Council and Waltham Estate Management Board recognise the valuable role that tenants and leaseholders play by getting involved and working to improve our Estate. This Compact describes the range of opportunities tenants and leaseholders have to influence the services the Estate Management Board provides.
The Compact supports and builds on the Council’s community involvement and participation policies. It ensures openness in decision-making. The approach recognises that different tenants and leaseholders have different aspirations and our approach therefore allows for different levels of involvement.
This Compact will act as a guide for Waltham Estate Management Board officers and Board Members in ensuring that their work properly takes account of tenants and leaseholders views. It can also be used as a reference document to monitor the service we provide and for clarity on service standards.
We will continue to work in partnership with you, URH, Lambeth Living, the Housing Department, our local Councillors, North Lambeth Town Centre, the Metropolitan Police and other organizations to achieve excellence in housing service provision.

Chair, Waltham Estate Management Board
